Abstract

Online registration system in Higher Educational Institutions permits students to utilize the online systems to access course registration, check study plan and make curriculum decisions, and as well as to complete several administrative tasks.  In this study, the research work is based on a survey designed to find out the perceptions of students on online and manual course registration at Oman College of Management &Technology (OCMT) as a case study. 150 student participants were selected randomly,a questionnaire containing ten items on assessing online and manual course registration as designed by Oladunjoye Patrick &Omemu Felix (2013) as the instrument was already validated by them and was further subjected to a reliability test using the test- re-test method. The empirical findings shows the students’ preference is more on online course registration rather than manual course registration and the result of T-test analysis is performed to find out the significance of the similarity of the perception based on gender wise and degree wise.
