FOPID controlled Inter leaved cuk converter Inverter fed Induction Motor Drive System with Improved Time Response

Abstract

This work deals with the modeling, simulation, and application of a Fractional Order Proportional Integral Differential (FOPID) controlled Cuk-converter and Inverter-fed Induction Motor-Drive (IMD). This work recommends Photo-Voltaic (PV) fed Cuk-converter to produce essential DC-voltage in the input of the inverter. The output of the Photo-Voltaic (PV) system is boosted utilizing a Cuk-converter. The output of the Cuk-converter is inverted in pragmatic to a three-phase induction-motor using a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). Closed-loop Proportional-Integral (PI) and FOPID controlled continuous conduction Induction Motor Drive (IMD) systems are simulated and their results are related with hardware prototype. The FOPID controlled drive-system has enhanced time-domain response.
