green entrepreneurship in Nigeria in order to improve industrial economy through social protection of natural ecosystem
as well as enhances support for economic transformation. This is aimed at creating green jobs and promoting
sustainability, growth and harmonious development. This is a conceptual paper based on review of related literature.
Findings reveal that green growth in Nigeria can be achieved through an enabling policy framework on energy efficiency
generation and distribution, green technology, capacity building, market and investment. Green business practices in
marketing is driven by organizations’ corporate philology which creates eco-friendly environment for products and
services and also contributes to the sustainability of the environment. The study identified green economic policies and
green business practices as panacea to achieve business objectives. It concludes that societal progress requires green
entrepreneurship as philosophy against anti-environmental practices. However, many organizations with the motive of
profit maximization end up creating havoc on the environment through soil, water and air pollution, drought, flooding etc.
It recommends among others that government should promote environmental sustainability as priority for economic
growth. Due to continuous dynamics of the environment, government should make efforts towards constant review of
environmental laws and policy framework.
