Design And Implementation For Efficient Power Distribution Using Feeder Automation
Abstract
The demand of electricity has been increasing gradually. People also request reliable power supply Feeder automation system which can quickly disconnect the faulty line and provides protection for the line .Under sustainable development of modern society it is important to construct a smart power grid. To assure high quality power supply, the feeder system should be automated. By the means of feeder automation only we can ensure that the power outage is short and faulty section can be isolated automatically. The line losses can be reduced and efficiency of power transfer can also be gradually increased .This project mainly focus on design and implementation of feeder automation and protection which provides stable operation of power supply. Proper designing and implementation of feeder automation leads to uninterrupted power supply and appropriate feeder mode can be selected automatically. In existing system everything is controlled by manual method only .If any industry trips down due to excess of power consumption then the total area covered by that substation will become dark out. In our proposed system dark out problems can be completely avoided. The proposed methodology consists one master feeder and two companies. Load is connected through relay. The zigbee technology is used for transmission and reception. Whenever companies need more power, it sends an acknowledgement to master sub-station, depending upon the request, master decide either to accept or reject If the master has accepted the request then the power will be flow through the corresponding relay. In case of rejection, previous supply will continue to flow. Whenever any fault occurs the driver circuit will automatically trip the corresponding company.
