Abstract

Noise removal is plays a vital role in medical image processing. During the image capturing, transmission etc. the image can occur noise due to some environmental situation. In this circumstances the radiologists are facing problems in diagnose the disease due to the presence of noise components in the image. So, the physician are induced to remove the noise to enhance the image quality for further  analyzing an medical modality images, it is called as pre-processing like image enhancement (de-noising). Medical image enhancement   improves the image perception of information for human viewers. Now-a-days a numerous noise removal techniques are recognized in color as well as grey scale images depending upon the type of noise happen in the images. a modified LION Optimization Technique (mLOT) with enhanced Adaptive Thresholding Function (EATF) is proposed to overcome the un-wanted signal (noise), information losses in both grey scale and color images to improve the overall image visual quality within the physician acceptable level.
