Compressed Air Energy Storage System with Photovoltaic Array
Abstract
The Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) System with Photovoltaic (PV) array is reviewed to study its performance efficiency. Power is generated using the sources of renewable energies such as solar energy and wind energy. One of the significant features of such renewable energy sources is that power may be produced when there is no demand for it. At that point, it becomes essential for us to store the electricity. The electrical energy storage is made feasible with the different types of CAES. These plants are used for the storage of excessive energy as air pressure and later produce the electricity. The generated electricity are used during the peak hour demand for residential consumption. This study presents the depiction of CAES in small scale by using renewable energy from Photovoltaic (PV) array.
