Effect of Internal Pressure in Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe
Abstract
The numerical simulation of super duplex stainless steel hollow pipe under maximum pressure is analyzed with combined internal pressure, axial tension and elevated temperature up to 1600C.The existing models are found to provide practical estimate of maximum deformation only with experimental and analytical model. In this paper, a finite element analysis of the effect of elevated temperatures is presented in detail. The results obtained using the elevated temperatures are then compared with the existing failure pressure models and experimental work from literature.
