Smart Greenhouse By Using Arduino Mega and IoT
Abstract
Within the observance of the greenhouse environment, networks that are wired in nature face issues like flexibility of detector location, corrosion, cable aging, complex wiring etc. To resolve such issues, IoT is used to create a wireless detector network for observing temperature, humidity, intensity of carbonic acid gas concentration at every node with low-power consumption. Supported by the RS232 protocol, this system has benefits like sensors versatility, placement of sensors, low power consumption, straightforward installation, growth and maintenance, low cost, sturdy usefulness. This work provides a model of a sensible greenhouse, that helps the farmers to manage the farm mechanically without the employment of a lot of manual examination. The irrigation of agriculture fields is done by means of automatic drip irrigation, that operates by constantly monitoring the wetness and comparing with the threshold so that only the quantity of water that is required is applied to the plants. For proper water management, the water management tank area is measured by means of the detector, for continuous monitoring of the quantity of available water. Temperature units as well as the air humidness area units are controlled by humidity and temperature sensors and a fogger is employed to regulate an equivalent. The system is also controlled by means of a GSM module to generate missed decisions or SMS to notify the farmers regarding the field conditions.
