Preparation of reinforced Nano-resistant cement by adding the ternary silica particles
Abstract
Systematic study on the modification of locally Portland cement (rpcl) by adding nano-ternary silica (NSt) particles with an average diameter and the effect it has on its properties has been conducted.
An addition of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% content of NSt to rpcl, respectively, and the nanocomposite was then characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scan Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD and SEM tests were conducted to study the morphology and structure for the synthesized nano- rpcl
The results show that the addition of 10 wt%. of NSt is the best percentage to give the best properties for the nanocomposite.This improvement of the mechanical properties of the nanocomposite opens wider applications compared with the natural rpcl.
