Online Library Management System with User Rating System (OLMSURS)

Abstract

Library plays an important role in order to provide information for people in order to gain knowledge required. In the old days, library was managed in manual way where the librarians needed to create, update, and delete record manually. Every record created was handwritten which made the process was time-consuming. The inefficiency of manual library management system in managing the library materials led people to slowly migrate to digitalized LMS. The utilization of this system saves a lot of time for accomplishing the same task. However, most of the Online Library Management Systems do not have a feature that lets the borrowers to give opinion regarding the specific books borrowed which makes other borrowers feel difficult to find the right book to borrow. This makes the future borrowers feel difficult to find books to borrow because the borrowers do not have clear vision about the quality of the book content and do not have any clue if the book chosen is recommended or not. Therefore, Online Library Management System is proposed in order to help future borrowers can easily find the books based on the need
