Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has caused significant difficulties faced by many people worldwide. Due to the current situation, most businesses must change their business process in order to survive. Thus changes in a business process are highly essential, particularly in non-essential businesses, including skin-care and dermatology clinics. On that account, this study overviews the business process in a small skin-care and dermatology clinic in Indonesia, and analyze the downfall pandemic has affected. This study also analyzes a feasible scenario that could generate an optimal result for the clinic through system dynamics simulations that follow the structure of the business process model. The results of this study are two folds. First, the severity of suffering for small business during this pandemic is overwhelming compared to business-as-usual condition and how on-clinic skin treatment have a significant impact on the profitability of the clinic. Second, adding more line of income source that is more accessible to the public, such as general medicine, could support the clinic into profit with no treatment condition.
