Abstract

This article aimed to investigate the effects of radiation and chemical reaction on MHD flow of dusty fluid over inclined porous plate embedded in porous medium. The problem is governed by coupled non-linear partial differential equations with appropriate boundary conditions. The transformed non-dimensional and coupled governing partial differential equations are solved numerically using the finite element method. It is a powerful, stable technique which provides excellent convergence and versatility in accommodating coupled systems of partial differential equations. In order to notice the influence of different pertinent parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration distributions along boundary layer have been represented with the help of graphs. The effect of flow pertinent parameters on skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are discussed and presented in tabular form. The code has been validated by comparing the results obtained via utilized method with those of earlier published results. This paper is helpful to the engineers and scientists in the field of heat and mass transfers.
