Application of Runner Root Optimization Technique for Solving Economic Load Dispatch Problem
Abstract
The advancement in power system lead to growth of intelligent optimization techniques that is used to solve the complex problem of economic load dispatch problem (ELD) along with given state of affairs and conditions. Further, it leads to improvement of a fusion construction of a system that helps to decrease the overall outfitted cost of electrical power system. The main consideration of this paper is to solve the fuel cost problem of power marketplace by application of highly developed optimization technique. The proposed technique is Runner Root Algorithm (RRA) that is inspired from the intelligence behavior of plants looking for their sources of energy that inspires the algorithm to solve the economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of power system. The proposed technique is a capable of solving the complex behavior of hybrid structure of power systems along with fast calculations. Further, the biological based technique has capability of scheming the various parameters competently as compared to other conservative optimization techniques. In this study, designed method is applied on 6 and 15 unit bus systems and the results obtained by proposed RRA method are being compared with invasive weed optimization (IWO) technique. By comparing these two techniques of optimization, the RRA method is competent to attain the best value of the total production cost of electricity market.
