Wireless Sensor Network approaches for monitoring and irrigation of farm fields in Precision Agriculture: A Review

Abstract

Precision agriculture (PA) is an interdisciplinary technique which can boost the quality and quantity by integrating Wireless sensor networks with Agriculture. PA requires the large amount of data acquisition regarding soil, intruders, irrigation and crop strength and then transmission for further processing. Many researchers have developed Wireless Sensor Networks for PA as per the application requirement. The developments in wireless sensor networks is the foundations for the awareness of precision agriculture. Main purpose of this review is to study the impact of WSNs technologies in PA. In this review enormous literature related to monitoring and irrigation of different crops has discussed.
