Abstract

the multilevel inverter is used to extract power from different renewable energy resources i.e. solar cell, Photo Voltaic cell, Wind power. It synthesizes the desired ac output waveform from several dc sources.  The main focus of this proposed work is to improve the efficiency of the multilevel inverter and to improve the quality of output voltage waveform with a reduced number of switches. This paper presents a cascaded H bridge fifteen level inverter design topology with effective controlling techniques. The proposed inverter is controlled by the three effective controlling techniques and this yields better performance in controlling the bridge and reduces the losses in power. Here, bridge A of the cascade H Bridge is controlled by the quasi square waveform generation, bridge 'B' is controlled phase velocity based modulation technique, and bridge 'C' is controlled by the phase-shifted pulse width modulation (PWM). The presented control methods apply to cascaded H-bridge fifteen level inverters to improve their voltage regulation and thereby, lead the better efficiency, reliability, and economic improvement.
