Standardization of Protection System Design

Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the importance of standardization of protection system design in transmission substations. The traditional design and construction of substations has been able to meet the requirements, however both utilities and the contractors can achieve more efficient, reliable and world-class performance by standardization.
