SYNTHESIS OF ODS STEEL THROUGH ULTRASONIC METHODS WITH SINTERING TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS
Abstract
Fe-Cr is an alloy that has a high temperature resistance and ability that can be used as interconnects in a solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) fuel cell. In this research, synthesis of Fe-Cr alloy using a powder of Fe-Cr micro alloy was synthesized by ultrasonic method. The ultrasonic method is used to synthesize micro Fe-Cr through the use of ultrasonic sound waves. The steps taken were to compact the Fe-Cr micro alloy particles with non-lubricant compaction, the compact results were inserted into the quartz glass capsule and then sintering variations were carried out 11000C, 12000C and 13000C at maximum temperature conditions held for 1 hour, then cooled normally in the furnace. Microstructure characterization was carried out by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) accompanied by analysis with MAUD (Material Analysis Using Diffraction) method and measurement of the value of actual violence. The Fe-Cr micro alloy particles are more stable and consistent in the formation of the phase of Fe-Cr alloy through sintering variations. Obtained a homogeneous non-oxide alloy of Fe-Cr.
