Finding challenges in the implementation of Industry 4.0 for operations planning and scheduling
Abstract
Objective: The present study is aimed to study the concept of industry 4.0, to study the concept of operations planning and scheduling, to identify the factors affecting operations planning and scheduling, and to find out the challenges in industry 4.0 implementation in operations planning and scheduling.
Method: Descriptive method has been adopted for the research. Through the structured questionnaire using a Likert scale, the data has been collected through an online survey where research found 150 respondents as sample size and regression analysis has been used to prove the significance of outcomes.
Findings: It is now apparent that Business 4.0 is a restructuring in culture philosophically. This transition, like many other business transformations, is supposed to result in significant improvements to culture, schooling, the environment, and commerce. This essay gives some details on the current discussion in both the science and industrial community on Business 4.0. In this regard, the paper's realistic achievements are twofold: firstly, it aims to explain the general principle for clinicians by defining industry 4.0. Secondly, six architecture criteria in Business 4.0 scenarios may be implemented to facilitate adoption.
Practical Implication: It should be remembered that although a few major companies control the component sector, thousands of manufacturing facilities around the world would either function in compliance with industry 4.0 or manufacture goods to promote the introduction of Industry 4,0.
Conclusion: The overlap between multiple technical advances is the product of Business 4.0. With the difficulty of being highly automated and cost-effective as well as manufacturing personalized items in a region of mass production, this new model may shift the position of conventional assembly lines by shifting the manner in which items are manufactured and services delivered.
