A CRITICAL REVIEW ON LITERATURE OF WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Abstract

Women empowerment is a dynamic strategy of overall development of women economically, politically, socially and culturally. Over the years, male dominance is presented in world in all areas of society which led to less empowerment of women and cause for backward of women and violence against women. Numerous research studies have recognized significance of women in the multi-dimension development of a nation. Therefore, present study discusses the available literature on women empowerment on the aspects of economic empowerment, political empowerment, women entrepreneurship, gender equality, influencing factors and challenges of women in world.
