IBM-2 Calculations for Ba Nuclei

Abstract

It was pointed out that the Interacting Boson Model-2 (IBM-2) characteristics can also be studied in the level scheme of the transitional nuclei ^120-132Ba and that an adequate point of the model leading to E2 and M1 transitions is therefore verified. Most of the mixing ratios (E2/M1) not yet known are specified and the set of parameters used in these calculations is the best approximation to present. It turned out that the interacting boson model in the whole range of ^120-132Ba isotopes is reasonably accurate for the calculation of energy spectra.
