Abstract

COVID 19 Pandemic has spread almost all the nations across the world. Government has taken measures of strict lockdown in initial phase which leads to slowdown the growth of nations economy, and it also the adversely affected on the Indian trade. The Era of pandemic has changed the lifestyle of people and also the way of doing business. It has impacted almost all the segments of retailing business. Kirana Stores and General stores are the important elements of unorganized retailing business. They play very prominent role during the lockdowns, as those were the only shops which were getting attentions during the lockdown periods. The present study shows the impact of COVID on their business, study also compares the daily turnover and employability of business before and after the covid. To know the impact before and after covid paired T-test was performed. The study was carried out in palghar district mainly in the area Between vasai and virar by taking personal interview with 243 shop owners.
