Complexity Reduced PAPR Reduction in MIMO OFDM using Hybrid Ant colony particle swarm optimization Algorithm
Abstract
In Multiple Input-Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system the one of the major problem to be considered is the Peak Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The increase in PAPR tremendously decreases the performance and increase the complexity of the system. So to reduce the complexity we use the Partial transmit sequence (PTS) in the system which lowers the complexity by identifying the PAPR problem. In the PTS scheme there is a problem in finding the phase factor. Because there will be a several phase available in the system for transmitting a signal. On choosing the unwanted phases leads to the signal distortion and increases the bit error rate. So to find the best phases we used a hybrid algorithm such as ant colony and PSO optimization method. The simulation result shows the performance of our proposed method that provides less complexity than the other existed method.
