The Political Impact of Cyberbullying and Cyber Victimization on Social Media Against Campaign Patterns Through Reactive Behavior in Democratic Elections in the Era of Society 5.0
Abstract
In Indonesia, a study on cyberbullying in relation to the development of democracy has not been conducted. Cyberbullying as part of a digital phenomenon, has also added to the democratic public space which uses a lot of communication technology (internet, social media applications on all platforms). The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze the political influence of cyberbullying, cyber victimization on social media on campaign patterns through reactive behavior in democratic elections in the era of society 5.0. The object of observation in this research are 200 people in DKI Jakarta Province who have participated in and run the election process both directly and indirectly using social media such as e-mail, whatsapp, line, facebook, instagram, twitter, SMS and other types of social media. Collecting data by questionnairs with a sample of 200 respondents and using SEM data analysis tools (Structural Equation Modelling). The results of the research on the political impact of cyberbullying, cyber victimization on social media on campaign patterns through reactive behavior in democratic elections in the era of society 5.0 are very significant. The desire to hurt others by posting unpleasant things, calling someone with a bad nickname, posting false lies/rumors concerning someone or making others dislike someone. The imbalance of power in political contestants also becomes a post on the unequal or unbalanced content of social media messages which are dominated by the perpetrators and those who supporting the bullies.
