An IoT Application on Smart Door

Abstract

The rapid development in technology has led to the growth in Internet of Things. Extension of regular ideas by making use of the internet is IoT-Internet of Things. The common things on internet are data sharing, constant connectivity, remote control ability and so on. Most of the day to day life things gets automated to provide secure action and to save time and energy. The objective of the project is an internet controlled door automation through web application. It’s an IoT project. The owner of the house is away and if someone knocks the door, he will be intimated through email that someone is in front of the door.. The owner can also see the person through web application with the help of web camera. He can decide upon whether to lock or unlock the door. If he suspects the visitor as a thief, he can make the alarm to sound to make the thief run away. He also can alert the neighbors. This project will provide the user with an easier, faster and secure way to automate the door.
